Our approach
Since 1977 we’ve been helping our clients find their place through purposeful design solutions that resonate. Driven by curiosity in our creative process, it pushes us to know more and constantly ask why and drives us to achieve better for our clients.
We begin by understanding who our clients want to reach and how to connect with them through human centred design and emotional insight, creating work that provokes a reaction and makes their brands memorable.

Fiona Hutchings
Graphic Designer BA (Hons)
Fiona joined the business over seven years ago after graduating from UCLan with a First-Class Honours degree in Graphic Design, having previously worked with design agencies in Manchester for a variety of clients.
Since then, she has contributed to a wide range of projects, working with clients including the University of Aberdeen and NHS partners, whilst also having a particular passion for packaging projects. Fiona is also passionate about community engagement and regularly encourages creative career paths by speaking with students from the likes of Winstanley College and secondary schools across the Wigan borough.
Barry Hutchings
Consultant
With over 40 years of experience in the design industry, Barry has a vast amount of knowledge in multiple design disciplines and has worked with clients such as Greater Manchester Transport, British Nuclear Fuels, United Utilities and Manchester United, just to name a few.
Barry gained his qualifications from Wigan Art College before becoming a part of Scene in 1977, working in Scene Publications creating all the design work for the monthly entertainment magazine, catering for a wide variety of clubs and venues in the North West, whilst the business continued to evolve and adapt into what it is today.
